Exhibits of 4-H’ers in grades 5-12 were considered for
State Fair exhibits. Outstanding junior exhibits of
4-H’ers in 4th grade received a special purple ribbon
since these were not eligible for State Fair. State Fair
exhibits are listed elsewhere in the paper.
Blue ribbon winners are listed by clubs along with the
number of blue exhibits for all members and purple ribbons
for outstanding junior members. Little Clover exhibitors,
those 4-H’ers under 4th grade, are also mentioned.

State Fair Winners
Butler County is very proud of all the young people who
participate in the 4H program and we want to recognize
those who have displayed outstanding exhibits in the local
fair.
The Butler County 4-H staff wants to announce State Fair
winners from the Home Economics judging held Wednesday,
June 23, 2004. The following people are sending their
projects on to the Iowa State Fair to be held in Des
Moines August 12-22, 2004. We wish all these young people
the very best as they exhibit at the State Fair.

4-H Clothing Event
15 Butler County 4-H'ers participated in the 4-H Clothing
Revue event held on April 24, 2004 at the St. James
Lutheran Church in Allison. Judging is based on how the
garment looks on them and on good purchasing decisions as
they relate them to the judge.

4-H Communication Day was held Saturday, April 24, 2004 at
the St. James Lutheran Church, Allison. 4-H'ers earned

and working exhibits and shared their talents through
share-the-fun acts.
